kyklOIKOdromio is founded with the aim and vision of protecting the environment and is dedicated to the memory of the distinguished teacher Elli Themistokleous Achilleos.

kyklOIKOdromio results from lexicography. The idea started from the circle (loop) the beginning of the circular economy, the reduction of wasting resources. The circular economy is a model of production and consumption, which includes the share, reuse, repair, repurposing, remanufacturing and recycling of existing materials and products as much as possible, in order to extend their life cycle. In practice, the circular economy suggests reducing waste to the lowest possible level.

People have to find their place (their way) in a circular ecosystem. This is how "OIKO" came about, which is used as a synthetic of words and it is connected to our house. And planet Earth is our home. And the -way is the road that leads us to the protection of the planet. Human beings are integral part of nature. The ancient Greeks were part of the natural environment. They lived through nature. They understood its continuity and longevity. They were interested in the continuation of life after them and did not consider themselves the owners of the natural environment and its resources.

Today Human beings are cut off from the environment. Human beings, by their actions, destroy the environment and destroy the species by the consequences.
