The programme aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals involved in, or aspiring to engage in, environmental impact assessment studies. By adopting an interdisciplinary approach, it offered specialized training tailored to the modern demands of environmental management. Participants benefited from lectures delivered by distinguished academics and experts from CUT, the University of Cyprus, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the University of the Aegean.
The successful completion of this programme marks a significant milestone in improving the quality and reliability of environmental studies in Cyprus. Starting from the 1st of January 2025, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies will require signatures from registered Coordinators listed in the Register of Practitioners, ensuring compliance with European legislation, and promoting environmental protection.
