On Tuesday, 4 June 2025, the panel discussion titled “Publicly driven innovation in food waste monitoring” was successfully held, as part of the European project CIBUS – Interreg Europe, which was hosted by the Nicosia Development Agency.
KyklOIKOdromio was represented at the event by Elena Andreou, who actively participated in the discussion and shared experiences and best practices implemented in Cyprus for the management of organic waste.
The event, conducted in English, focused on the implementation of European directives on organic waste management and showcased successful policies and initiatives from across Europe.
Panel participants also included representatives from the Department of Environment and the Office of the Commissioner for the Environment, alongside project partners from Finland, Portugal, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, and Ireland.
