KyklOIKOdromio participated in a short informative and promotional video of the project “Circular Economy Actions for All”, activity organized by the Cyprus Institute and University of Cyprus in the context of assisting the successful sub-grantees in U-SOLVE (ENI CBC MED).
With the circular economy at the centre of our practice, we take care of our planet. The only way to save our planet, is to reduce and gradually the waste we produce. We are returning to values we have forgotten, to bartering, to the circular economy, to "not throwing anything away".
The KyklOIKOdromio started with small and careful steps, collecting used toys and books from individuals who no longer wanted them. What we collected we forwarded to schools, NGOs, other community organizations. Currently we are also working through the Nicosia Multipurpose Municipal Centre and the Municipality of Strovolos. We participate in European and national projects and offer training and expertise to public and private institutions. Offering education and training by our specialized team is one of our most important goals. We multiply results and the process is participatory. We aim at an increasingly more intense dissemination of the purchase, donation, exchange and sale of used items. The idea of "Second Chance" is slowly but surely gaining ground and the thought we should all have is simple "When we no longer use something, someone else needs it".
Our team is made up of people with rigorous expertise and deep know-how that is constantly updated. We are essentially creating a bank of items that their owners didn't want and are waiting for a second chance, rather than ending up in the trash. Our every move, every action supports urban sustainable development through ecosystem protection and innovation.
At KyklOIKOdromio we participate in U-SOLVE and alongside the funding and support for networking and visibility that the project "Circular Economy Actions for All" enjoys from the ENI CBC MED programme, we continue. We continue the actions "Circular Economy for All"!
