In an initiative to promote sustainable business practices in Nicosia, the Multifunctional Municipal Center has teamed up with the non-profit organization Kykloikodromio to host a specialized workshop on the circular economy. This event, scheduled for September 20, seeks to illuminate the principles of the circular economy to budding entrepreneurs and businesses.
There's a growing realization that many new businesses lack a clear understanding of circular business models, which can offer long-term sustainable market advantages. This workshop aims to bridge that knowledge gap, equipping businesses to make more environmentally-friendly, socially-responsible, and economically-viable decisions from their inception.
The event, part of Nicosia Municipality's wider strategy for sustainable urban development, has garnered support on an international scale. Notably, funding has been provided by both the EU Regional Development Fund and the Republic of Cyprus, emphasizing the importance of sustainable business practices in today's economic landscape.
According to the Municipality, for Nicosia, this isn't just about business—it's about building a future-proof community, dedicated to social inclusion, combating poverty, and embracing equality.
The event will take place on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 18:00 at KEEAD, 131 Trikoupi Street, 1016 Nicosia.
