On 19-20 June 2025, the third General Coordination Meeting of the project "Academy for Transitional Skills in the Built Environment" (BuildSkills Academy), funded by the Erasmus+ programme, took place in Naples. The two-day meeting was hosted at the Unione Industriale Napoli and brought together the 17 participating institutions from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Germany, Cyprus, Cyprus, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The BuildSkills Academy focuses on upgrading and retraining/retraining of employed personnel in the construction sector with certified skills and competences through a network of vocational education and training providers. The main objective of the BuildSkills Academy is to create a pan-European framework and system for the certification and upgrading of knowledge and skills for the so-called "twin" transition (green and digital) with a focus on the construction sector. Organisations providing vocational education and training (VET) play an important role in the project and their main activity will be the adaptation of the vocational education and training services offered to include emerging new needs in the field of green and digital skills.

The third General Coordination Meeting of the BuildSkills Academy project highlighted the commitment of the project partners and the value of the project for the construction sector. In addition to the productive sessions, participants had the opportunity to network, strengthening the spirit of cooperation.
From Cyprus, three different organisations are involved in the project with different expertise that will contribute to the successful completion of the project: the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), the Cyprus Certification Company (CCC) and KyklOIKOdromio.
