KyklOIKOdromio supports the Let's do it Campaign! We meet on Wednesday 25 October 2023, at the entrance of the Academy Park at the Larnakos entrance, Aglantzia at 4.30 pm.

Let's do it! Cyprus is part of the Let's do it World! Campaign. A global clean-up campaign that aims to rid the world's natural areas of litter. At the same time, it is probably the largest voluntary project ever organised in the world. In recent years, Cyprus has been one of the countries with the highest litter production in Europe.

The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness and active public participation on issues related to the protection, conservation and sustainable management of the terrestrial and marine environment in Cyprus. The Let's Do It! campaign has been active in Cyprus since 2012, counting more than 210 thousand volunteers and freeing Cyprus from tons of litter lying on the streets, in the cities and in the natural environment of Cyprus! The "Let's Do It! Cyprus" Campaign is the biggest environmental action taking place on our island.

Cleaning campaigns are initiatives designed to promote cleanliness and environmental protection. They aim to raise public awareness, encourage citizen participation, and promote specific actions for the cleanliness of the environment. These campaigns can cover a range of environmental issues and include various means and actions. Here are some examples of clean-up campaigns:

Beach Cleaning Campaigns: These campaigns focus on cleaning beaches from plastic litter and other trash.

Street Cleaning Campaigns: the aim of these campaigns is to clear streets, parks and public spaces of litter and keep the local environment clean.

Plastic awareness campaigns: These campaigns focus on reducing plastic use and recycling plastic.

River and Lake Cleanliness Campaigns: In these campaigns, volunteers clean rivers, lakes and streams of litter and pollutants that threaten water.
