The Municipality of Strovolos, in cooperation with KyklOIKOdromio and with the support of the  Environment Commissioner, developed an educational guide on the circular economy and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The guide is intended for primary education teachers who can use it in their teaching to teach the principles of the circular economy and the sustainable development goals.

It seeks to support teachers to approach this issue through modern approaches and teaching strategies, so that all teachers can acquire the ability to understand, play a role and assume responsibility at individual and collective level with regard to the principles of the circular economy and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, thus reducing waste and conserving the natural resources of our planet.

This educational material constitutes a comprehensive educational aid, the design and writing of which was based on the new data that are formed in the education of our country, through the educational reform and the developments in the educational reform, with the introduction of indicators of success and competence in the educational process.

The guide includes the basic theoretical background which is accompanied by educational activities. The guide is expected to facilitate teachers from further preparation of teaching manuals and worksheets in order to foster knowledge and attitudes with a view to protecting the environment.
