The Municipality of Strovolos, in cooperation with KyklOIKOdromio, carried out educational activities in the primary schools of Strovolos, which focused on the understanding of the principles of circular economy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The action started first with a briefing for the teachers, so that they themselves could acquire the knowledge regarding the circular economy, how it can be applied in everyday life and then be able to transfer it to the students. Then, the KyklOIKOdromio experts visited the primary schools located in the territory of Strovolos Municipality and implemented a series of educational activities aimed at raising awareness and educating students. The activities included interactive seminars, material reuse workshops, and practical recycling exercises, thus promoting the understanding and implementation of practices that reduce waste and enhance sustainability. Through these initiatives, participants learned how to apply the principles of the circular economy (9Rs) in their daily lives.
